Program Title: Partnerships for Syunik – Enhanced Community-Based Social Services
Starting date: December 2023
Contract Length:  2 years (with possible prolongation)
Duty Station: PIN Yerevan office with occasional travels to Syunik region

PIN launched a project in Syunik in January 2023 aimed to support improved community-based social service provision by placing civil society organizations (CSOs), municipal authorities and the Ministry’s Unified Social Services at the forefront of community-based social service planning and delivery in Syunik region and provide evidence based working models to support ongoing reforms in the social protection sector. “Partnership for Syunik – enhanced community based social services” project is aimed to have resilient, trusted and accountable Civil Society Organizations in Syunik region and ensure effective cooperation with government authorities to deliver financially sustainable community-based social services that serve the needs of vulnerable populations in Syunik province. 
 
The project requires effective coordination with Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs; Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; Syunik Regional Authorities and Syunik 7 Municipalities, as well as international and local agencies supporting Social Reforms in Armenia. The project envisages capacity building for CSOs to be able to deliver needs based social services; establishment of community-level participatory social service planning mechanisms in seven target municipalities; facilitate CSO-led policy dialogue to advocate for sustainable funding of community-based social services through FSTP scheme for CSOs and technical support; national level coordination to scale up participatory planning of social services mechanism practiced within the project. Under the direct supervision, guidance and support of the Head of Programmes, the Project Manager is responsible for all components of management of the project, for ensuring efficient, effective and sustained collaboration with project partners, stakeholders, target group and the donor.
