Within the REACT project, PIN has produced a documentary series focusing on Armenia’s conflict-affected population. Filming was done by five people, they received phones to document their lives in Armenia after the conflict through their eyes. This series is called “This is us, our life in Armenia”. AMASIA WOOL FACTORY BECOMES A COMMERCIAL OPERATION
When the pilot ended, a local businessman collaborated with the Shirak Regional Development Foundation to continue investing in the start-up company. The new owner has assumed responsibility for the factory’s production and is working to expand the product line, add jobs, and further develop the regional wool value chain.More information >
People in Need (PIN) is an international non-governmental organization founded in the Czech Republic in 1992. PIN implements long-term humanitarian and development projects in more than 30 countries.
PIN arrived in Armenia as part of the humanitarian response to the devastating Spitak earthquake in 1988 when the founders had not yet officially registered the organisation.
Years later, in 2003, the PIN Armenia representative office was established to support rural tourism, civic education and youth empowerment, integration of migrants, and job creation in Armenia.
