People in Need is announcing a call for an individual or company for position the of the Website Content Editor to coordinate website content development and updates for the project partner four VET institutions  within the framework of “Transition from education to Employment” project 

Terms of Reference 

Contract Modality:  Individual/company (service contract)  
Duration of assignment:  2 months, full-time

Duty Station:  Gyumri, Armenia (with some flexibility) 

BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT  

This EU funded project is working towards advancing the socio-economic development of Shirak by reducing the skills mismatch in the labour market. To achieve this the project will deliver the specific outcome of enhancing the employability of VET students via strengthened VET-Private Sector Partnerships and work-based learning initiatives in the agriculture and textile sector. The project is working with four VET Institutes in Gyumri, Amasia, Artik and Maralik to establish public private partnership with four small and medium sized businesses to jointly develop short courses that will have a theoretical component taught at the VETs and a practical component taught as an apprenticeship within the business partner premises, by a business mentor. By the end of the project (August 2021) four short courses will have been jointly developed and piloted by the Partnerships, and the partnership will be functioning and strong enough to continue implementation of the work-based-learning short courses independently of the projects support.  


CURRENT STATUS OF THE WEBSITES 
Currently 4 similar websites - each in tree languages for project partner 4 VET institutions are developed. Respective content needs to be developed and updated to launch websites officially. PIN will provide an induction training on the websites administrator.  

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT  
The Website Content Editor will consult the VET institutions on required content. 4 websites with a well-formatted and comprehensively designed content (including photos) so that the visibility of the VET institutions is improved, their activities and available courses are disseminated, content is structured and attractive, feedback with stakeholders is provided.  

MAIN OBJECTIVES 
Reporting to the TVET Project Manager, the Website Content Editor will be responsible for ensuring effective cooperation with project VET institutions in the development and upload of the respective proper content to the VET institutions’ official websites to be ready to publish.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • VET capacity building on the websites content development  

  • Supervise the development of four website content by:  

  • working directly with project four VET institutions and train their staff (2 per institution) on website content (including photos) development 

  • developing the capacities of the VET institutions in developing the right content for the website 

  • collecting, editing and finalizing the Armenian information provided by the VET institutions  

  • checking the content when it is uploaded by the VET institutions to be ready for the publication of the websites  

  • ensuring PIN provided English and Russian content uploads at the website. 


DELIVERABLES 

Training report/signing sheet on website content development : End January 
Four websites with respective content (ready to be published): Early March 

REPORTING LINE AND COODINATION RESPONSIBILITY  
The Website Content Editor will provide weekly updates to the project manager, agree on the documentations and provision of the trainings.  
The Website Content Editor will work directly with the VET institution representatives nominated by the VET institutions.  
The Website Content Editor is responsible for current monitoring. Upon the end of the activity deadline, the expert will provide a final report on the activities carried out, as well as the finalzied websites of the 4 VET institutions, which will be monitored by PIN team. 

PAYMENT MODALITY  
The payment is according to the deliverables (30 % upon the signing of the contract, 70% upon the handover).  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED  

  • Experience on website content development and navigation and upload of the content onto a website (last 2 years at least)   

  • Armenian and English language and writing skills
