PIN calls for the honouring of agreements to ensure freedom and security of movement along the Lachin corridor that has been blocked since 12 December 2022.
The blockade has caused a humanitarian crisis and imperilled the civilian population by causing shortages of essential products such as food and medicine, preventing access to proper healthcare and putting the lives of civilians at risk.
Keeping the corridor open is crucial to providing for the basic needs of civilians and ensuring that a humanitarian crisis does not become a catastrophe.
